The methods of conveyor belt joints include mechanical joints, cold bonded joints and hot vulcanized joints.
Mechanical joints generally refer to the use of belt buckle joints, which are convenient, fast and economical. However, the efficiency of the joint is low and easy to be damaged, which has a certain impact on the service life of the conveyor belt products. In the joints of PVC and PVG whole core flame retardant and antistatic conveyor belts, the joint method is generally used for products below grade 8 belt.
Cold bonded joints are joints made of cold bonded adhesives. This joint method is more efficient and economical than mechanical joint.
Thermal vulcanized joints can ensure high joint efficiency, but also very stable, long service life of joints, easy to grasp. However, there are some shortcomings, such as troublesome process, high cost and long operation time of joints.
